Chapter 3
Just then, she tripped over a rock as Lantis came out of Kay Knight's Inn and caught her in time.
"Hey! lass! Careful about where you're going, 'cause I couldn't always be here for you." Said Lantis as he smiled charmingly at Elandor.
"Oh. (Stunned) I am really sorry about it I guess I better get going if..." Said Elandor, before she could finish her sentence the barbarians caught up.
"Lad hand over the lass! There is none of your business here boy!" Said the fatter man pointing the short knife at Lantis, panting.
"On a second thought..." Whispered Elandor as she stood up and went behind Lantis trying to hide. "Hide me..." Elandor softly pleaded.
"Lady here isn't willing, you see sire?" Lantis said firmly to the men.
"So you wanna play games with us? You’re out numbered boy!" The other man who is made up of only skin and bones roared out laughers after finishing his sentence.
Just then three other men came out Kay Knight's Inn. They are Lantis' friends called Jimson, Ruben and Arnold.
"Lantis, do you need the men or let Ruben give them a taste of the fingers?" Asked Arnold in a soft whisper.
Men? Fingers? What harm can fingers do? Who are these guys anyway? Do I have to take precaution? Just who are they? Are they somebody extraordinary? Thought Elandor.
Just then the man that was armed with the knife came lashing at Lantis. But Lantis backed away fast but not enough and got a graze on the left arm. He quickly pulled Elandor behind the others and called out to Ruben. Ruben wasted no time, he quickly used his index and middle fingers of his left hand to sized the short knife away. He then quickly pulled out his fencing sword made of steel, finely made by the eastern people, with the designs of dragon and phoenix. He defeated the men with just a swing to the throat. He was kind enough to stop half an inch away from his neck
As Elandor and Lantis backed away, the skinny barbarian went round them discreetly during the commotion and quietly using a handkerchief dapped with some hogweed oil to make Elandor unconscious by covering it around her nose and mouth. Unfortunately for him, Elandor screamed before being unconscious in his arms.
Her screams alert Lantis who was supposed to watch over her while Ruben fight against the jelly-belly man. After Lantis was being alerted, he stooped and swung his leg and tripped the scrawny barbarian who wanted to use Elandor as their hostage. Sadly, he dropped her when he losed his balance. The unconscious Elandor was like a ragged doll going to hit the ground with a 'thud', that might give her a contusion, but Lantis caught her in the nick of time.
The barbarians sized the opportunity to get away before Ruben gets them. The thing that they did not know was that these people only intended to save the damsel in distress.
"Now that they're gone and she's... what can we do about this lass? She's drugged." Said Lantis, not knowing what to do with her.
"Why not we leave her at your place? 'Cause our house is too small and quality of comfort that you can give her is better then us, after all you are..." Said Jimson trailed off smiling with the secret. He dared not continue as the walls might have ears and Lantis' status might be given away.
"You need not worry much since your parents are in Athortia and will not be back anytime soon, as stated and your house is also easier to hide in." Said Arnold backing Jimson, as he too, did not want to bare any responsibility for the lass.
"In any case, we will be visitin' you and be of help the next morn', won't we?" asked Ruben. The others could only agree with Ruben. At least for the night Lantis manage to take his mind off the coming ball and focus on helping the lass.

Chapter 2
Lantis was angered and disappointed at the thought of the three day ball. To do get away from reality for the moment, he dressed as a common folk, on the streets to meet his close friends at Kay Knight's Inn. Which was situated opposite the church of nuns.

"Hey there! Thank you for the ride down town. We are really grateful to you. Here, why not have this nice bracelet that you seems to be quite fond of." Elandor chipped.
"It's really not a problem. Oh well, since you insisted. (Snatching the desired bracelet)," said the milk man, after that he drove off.
"Elle! Is that really necessary? He merely gave us a lift to Justical's entrance." Said Sandrea.
"Hey will you not be so up tight? The bracelet doesn't even cost us a single cent. Further more he gave us a lift that save us more food than that bracelet's cost and remember we have to finish selling these stocks before we could go back. (Sigh) I am too tired to argue with you now. I need some rest, oh, all that traveling almost took all my strength away." Said Elandor shaking away the stiffness.
"Race you to the church. I bet they will take us in," said Sandrea.
Oh...rats! Why have I got to pair up with her, if only it was Claire-Ann. Thought Elandor.

No wonder madam Mosaic wanted me to stay with her... and the goods. She is really getting me worried. Giving things to strangers so easily... she might even give away everything we had done the past few months. Oh well time to sleep. The nuns are so ever kind to let us sleep there, wonder do we have to do chores in return. Thought Sandrea, yawning.
"Elle do we have to help the do the chores? Lets hope not..." whispered Sandrea.
"I do not think so, they seems kind to me. Drea, did you remember to pray?" Elandor Questioned. (Silence reigned)
Why did she have to sleep so fast? What a sleeper! I want to have a talk before going to bed. Hope we do not have to do many chores in return. Hey what is that sound? Why are the nuns screaming? Could not be, or could it? Better find out more about it, cannot get to sleep either. This suspense is killing me, I got to go and take a peek of at what is happening around here.

"I have already given you all our offering that the people gave to the Lord! Nobody will tithe or give offerings weekdays!" The speaker was one of the nuns.
"You can't bluff me, nuns don't lie... or do they?" Sneered two ragged man.
They looked like killers! Using the knife to point at them. Oh no, this cannot be good. Somebody would get hurt if this continues... thought Elandor.
"Hello? Sorry for the interruption, but all of you seem heated up in your argument. Is there some way we could settle this dispute courteously?" Asked Elandor.
Why is everyone looking at me as if I am a default stock - out of place? Oh no! The look of fear in the nuns' eyes makes me fear for myself. Add up with the eerie look in the barbarians' face is creeping me!
"Well nuns, its just your luck to have this lady her save all of your life, for now. We will take the girl, we'll be back for the money some other time," said the pudgy barbarian as he walked slowly towards Elandor.
"Run girl! RUN!" Shouted one of the younger nuns, "We will try to block them! Move your legs!"
Elandor, who was rooted momentarily, seems to be uprooted by their screams and shouts. The nuns intend hold these barbarians while Elandor get away but to no avail. They were no match to these men. Elandor was running as fast as her legs could take her, dared not open her eyes to look anywhere as she prayed.
Heavenly Father! Almighty Lord, this is the first time I ever ask for help... save me, sends someone or anyone...

Chapter 1
During the ancient dark times people and beasts were living in the dark ages of times. There were constant fears of each other. Soon there came Zagato and his wife from a far away land to rule over this dark land, they name it Justical.
After many generations, the people soon became corrupted as their kings turn to greed and lust. The Kings also have high expectations from their Queens; if the queen does not bare him a baby that is a boy, he will find concubines to give him want he wanted.
Till this age, the 'tradition' continues. Queen Lorforga also have to make the king Zech content, if not the 'laws' says he can have as many ladies as he likes.

"Lady you can make it! I know you can! Just a bit more my Lady..." said the midwife
Queen Lorforga became unconscious due to the hard labour that she was doing for the past half an hour. King Zech was still in Cephrio talking out a treaty that both parties can agree on. After some time, queen Lorforga regained concious. No one except the advisor and the midwife know of the terrible news - the baby is a girl. The advisor, Megan told queen Lorforga that in order to make king Zech atsy true to her, she had to switch the baby with a kitchen maid - Gladis.Who just gave birth to a baby boy, Lantis, who was born the day before.
Megan then summoned Gladis to the queen. After hearing out what the queen wanted she exploded in fits of anger.

"What do you mean by that queen Lorforga? Exchange my only child, that my late husband and I had, with you for your unwanted daughter and rotten gold and silver?" burst out Glacis.
"Listen to me Glacis, you will be raising MY daughter and have money that you won't ever, ever spent finish for the next few generations," said queen Lorforga.
"There won't be any more generation if I ever switch the baby with you, the money will just end up in YOUR daughter's hands," defended Glacis.
The argument got heated up as Glacis was unable to give in to the queen, she even dared to threaten to tell king Zech about this on his return. Glacis was then knocked out by Megan and was being sold to the Red Harlot House.
Soon after Glacis was sent to the Red Harlot House, it burst into flames of fire. There were many casualties and many people did not survive the explosion. Nobody knows the reason why it happened nor how it happened, further more, most people were grieving over the loss of their people to think about it.

Queen Lorforga took care of her daughter whom she named Elandor for four years before sending her to the orphanage. As her adviser told her that if she kept her any longer, she will be a question to many. Since many only know that she had bore only a son, named Lantis.
She gave Elandor a mark in the shape of a moon on the left shoulder, near to her neck. She also gave Elandor a melodious locket to remember her by.
Soon everyone had forgotten about the explosion and a church - taken care by nuns - was build over the Red Harlot House. Elandor and Lantis had grown up to be fine young man and woman.

Lantis had grown to the age where he should be choosing his queen in order to take over his father's place. Queen Lorforga and king Zech decided to hold a ball to surprise him and take away his burdens, by helping him choose. Lantis was not only not grateful but also disappointed that his parents did not let him have a say in it.
